THE SHORT VERSION
Reaver's Rest is a free online game in open beta, run by one person. Play it, enjoy it, don't cheat, and understand that beta means things can break or be reset.
THE SERVICE
- The game and this website are provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep the server up and your loot safe, but this is a beta: bugs, downtime, balance changes, and — if truly necessary — character or item resets can happen.
- This is a beta for testing. Characters and items may be wiped before the 1.0 release. If a wipe is ever needed, it will be announced ahead of time.
- The game is free today. Some convenience features may become paid in the future (for example, extra character slots). Nothing you earn in-game during the beta will be taken away by that change.
- You must be 13 or older to play.
YOUR ACCOUNT
- An account is a username and a password. We never ask for your email, real name, or payment details — so we can't reset a forgotten password. Keep it safe.
- One account per person is the expectation. Accounts may be suspended or removed for cheating, exploiting bugs for gain, harassment through any in-game system, or attacking the service itself.
- Found an exploit? Reporting it is celebrated. Farming it is a ban.
WHAT WE COLLECT
- Account data: your username and a hash of your password (we never see the password itself).
- Gameplay data: characters, items, and telemetry about runs — combat events, loot rolls, deaths, trades, economy activity. This is what the beta exists to gather; it's used to balance and improve the game.
- Nothing else. No email, no analytics trackers, no ads, no data sold to anyone, ever.
- Server logs (IP addresses, connection times) exist for operating and protecting the service and are routinely discarded.
CONTENT & CREDITS
- Player names are visible to other players — keep them reasonable, or they'll be changed for you.
- Licensed art and audio remain the property of their creators — see the credits page.
CHANGES
These terms may be updated as the game grows (for example, when paid features arrive). The "last updated" date at the top will always tell you when.
